ALONG THE RAPESEED LANES

A ride out on a beautiful Sunday morning was our chance to view the beautiful golden Rapeseed fields of Gwent. There was a brisk ride to Usk to start off with., then a ride alongside the river Usk to climb up an old deserted track to the small church of Trostrey, which lay in the middle of sweeping gold fields. Our ride took us meandering along past the Black Bear pub and then out to the gentle rolling lane to Llanarth and Coed-Morgan. A quick return home was then made via Croes-Llanfair, Goytre and then the canal to New-Inn.....35miles
