Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3

We hear more stories from the golden days of cycling and of how the Taylor brothers competed all over England and also in Ireland. Jack thumbs through the photo album and comments on various pictures.

" When we passed through Wolverhampton there was guys shouting out from the back of lorries "Come on Taylor, take your turn at the front!", and we thought, how do they know us down here ?", Jack has a good laugh about this.

We flash back to the social gathering and the stories and beer are still flowing !

As the documentary draws to a close the camera pans down from the skylight of the factory, with the sun glistening on the lens. Norman has returned to work brazing up the tandem assisted by Jack whilst Ken continues with the wheel building.

"I don't like progress" Jack laughs and continues "I think as you get older you find it isn't progress it's only change, and it isn't always change for the better. When you are young you accept all the new idea and designs and that, and you go along with it, and as you get older you find that they don't stand up, you're very sceptical about progress"

Jack has the final word "Every time they put the rates up we think, gosh, we don't fit into the modern age at all. You know, we're like a hang-over from a bygone age like steam trains and all these other things they have cut up".

The picture fades and the credits roll to the slow, old time, band music. Wonderful evocative stuff!

The End!
