My new bike was ready for it's maiden voyage! Just a quick ride out into the country to test the Ribble aluminium 105 equipped bike. An out and out racer the ride is stiff and responsive, the Tektro brakes are very good with an excellent finish. The Mavic wheels look good and perform well, I have nearly entered the 21st century, along with Nic. Who has now got rid of his bendy braze-on for his front derailleur and replaced it with a Veloce band-on one which has seemed to have cured its shifting problems!....8 miles!
