Saturday evening we cycled up to Pontypool on the cycle track. We then took the steep road from Pontnewynydd that sends cyclists in to the upper reaches of the atmosphere. The British plateau is always a quick way to leave the urban areas behind and in less than 30 minutes of cycling you could think you were in the heart of mid Wales.The weather was good and the ride home was quick in the warm evening air....20miles.
