DAY THREE
After a good nights sleep we woke at 08:00. The sun had been shining, but the weather looked changeable. By 10:00 we were on our bikes but it started to rain heavily. The road we were on is a long climb that goes on and on for mile after mile. The rain did not ease; at least it was not cold and added to the atmosphere of the ride. The gentle climb turns in to a roller coaster of a ride around the Llyn Clewedog reservoir. We arrived back in the town of Llannidloes at 13:00. We quite wet now, so we stopped and ate a kebab shop. After Llannidloes we retraced our steps back to Rhayader, it had stopped raining and we had a marvelous ride back along this mirror road that follows the river Wye. It was a good calming end to our weekend ride unlike the years before, where we had to slog our guts out back home on the main road. We arrived in Rhayader at 17:00 and we had thoroughly enjoyed this years camping trip!
